  • Our lead teachers will be responsible for assisting in developing a curriculum for their classroom. As a lead teacher, you will be working closely with our directors and our master gardener on a comprehensive lesson plan that will ensure our students have every opportunity to explore the natural world around them indoors and out. Our ideal candidate will have an understanding of Montessori education, posses a love for nature, and be open to incorporating imaginative and creative ideas into the classroom.

    Qualifications

    • Received a certification or have a good understanding of Montessori education for the corresponding age group. Candidate must be willing to complete additional training if needed upon hire

    • Previous experience in early childhood education

    • Previous experience with lesson planning

    • A love for nature and the outdoors

    • Continuing education as required per licensing

    • Flexible and adaptable

    • Well organized

    • Previous experience teaching at a farm or nature school is a plus

    • Associate or bachelor’s degree preferred

  • Our assistant teachers will be responsible for helping to facilitate classroom lessons and activities as designed by the lead teacher and school directors. They will be in integral partner in lesson introduction and re-enforcement for their respective age group. The assistant teacher role also serves as a great starting point for anyone interested in leading a classroom in the future. It is our goal to support all of our assistant teachers with training and education so they will be ready to move into a lead role as the position becomes available.

    • Experience working with children infants eight weeks through five years of age

    • Ability to work well in a team environment

    • Growth mindset

    • Love for the outdoors required

    • Early childhood education experience preferred

    • Understanding of Montessori education is a plus

    Background check required per state regulations before first day of work in the classroom

  • Our assistant float teachers will be responsible for helping to facilitate classroom lessons and activities as designed by the lead teacher and school directors. They will be in integral partner in lesson re-enforcement for for all age groups. This role requires a great deal of flexibility and adaptability on a daily basis. The assistant float teacher role also serves as a great starting point for anyone interested in leading a classroom in the future. It is our goal to support all of our assistant teachers with training and education so they will be ready to move into a lead role as the position becomes available.
